Retain Clients and Traffic with one tool

In the 1990's "synergy" became a buzzword for "killing two birds with one stone." As a business owner you want repeat business from your current clients and repeat traffic from your web visitors.

If your business is a B2B business, you can accomplish both by installing a search feature on your website that only searches the websites of your current clients.

The challenge is to present your pool of clients to your website visitors as being a source of reliable and valuable services and products. In order to accomplish this, you may need to get to know your clients better. Find out why your visitors would WANT to use your client's services.

This tool can also be used by entrepreneurs and sales people who are involved in business networking. If you attend chamber of commerce meetings or if you are in a leads group or if you are involved in other business networking activities, why not install a search engine tool that searches only the websites of your network of business contacts.

If your clients or your network contacts find that their websites are getting more visitors due to their relationship with you, they will want to nourish this relationship even more.

That's a great thought and one that's very easy to implement. You can even use the Google search engine to search within your domain. By having a links page with small subpages that are optimized for each of the associate companies the Google search will pull out that sub-page. Of course if you want to get into this in a bigger way then you can use your own search tool and a database of contacts. It's just extending the networking principle to the Internet world.
