Keyword Ads allow a website owner to pay only for those ads which result in a search engine visitor clicking on a link to the company's website.

A good keyword campaign focuses on pre-qualifying the visitor rather than on high volume traffic. Because each visitor acquired in this manner adds to your advertising expense, the focus needs to not be on quantity but on quality. If a keyword click comes from a visitor who is not a good prospect, you have an undesired expense.

Keyword Advertising requires special pages be added to the company website that are specifically created for the search engine visitor and for the specific ad which prompted the visit.
